This email came from Dan on 2/7/2008:
Someone started a Facebook group called "Bob Dylan is overrated":

In the founding statement of the group, they link to the JJ Letter to
the Editor titled, "Dylan way overrated", in which our father
lambastes those who love the seminal song writer:

God bless the internet.

Sick of hearing how great he is? Come join!
No matter the reason, whether it be hating his music, or acknowledging
the hypocrisy of a man that once stood for free spirit now appearing
on Victoria Secret ads for a hefty sum, this group…is for people who
think Bob Dylan is overrated.
Sure, he may have some OK songs.
But, he is by no means the best songwriter, and certainly musician, to
ever live.
An obvious reason:
Songwriting involves music and melodies too. Since he is not a good
musician, a mediocre poet at best, he cannot be considered the finest
song craftsman.
